With 15 years of experience in the design industry, Michelle began her career as a fashion buyer before discovering her true passion for interior design. Her love for creating stunning and functional spaces shines through in every project, as she helps clients bring their unique visions to life.

Our Services

We will come out to your home or meet you on site for a walkthrough and then sit down with a cup of coffee and pull together a cohesive colour scheme for the interior and exterior of your home. It would be helpful for you to be ready with any inspiration pictures you may have. This service can be finalised within one day and will frame the starting point for the rest of your home

Whether you are building a new home, or planning to renovate your existing home, We work with you to understand how you want these essential spaces to look and feel. We work through colour palettes, finishes, storage solutions and those finer details with you to create beautiful and functional spaces. We can provide you with schedules ready for you to handover to your builder to ensure a smooth procurement process

Kitchen and Bathroom Design

We work with you to curate selections that are perfect for your family and your budget. Once we have understood your vision for the project we will create moodboards and provide samples of all interior and exterior finishes including paint colours, flooring, lighting, wall and window treatments, tiles, tapware, cabinetry and hardware. We create all the documentation your builder will need to take this forwards

How We Work Together

Discovery

We begin with a discovery call to learn about your project, vision, and goals.

Next, we offer an on site design consultation. During this visit, we’ll discuss the best approach to working together, establish your project timelines, and review your budget.

Design

After our design consultation, we will prepare a detailed design proposal that outlines the agreed scope of work, timeframes, and our design fee.

Next, we enter the design phase, starting with a concept design briefing to refine your style preferences.

We will progress through the stages from initial concept to final design, incorporating your feedback at each stage and providing budget updates throughout the process.

Implementation

As we move into the procurement phase, your responsibilities are significantly reduced.

We handle all coordination with furniture suppliers, including invoicing, deliveries, and quality checks. Additionally, we manage all subcontractors necessary for your project.

Our team oversees the installation and styling, ensuring that you don’t need to unpack, assemble furniture, or deal with any debris. Your home will be ready for you to move in and enjoy

We care about your project and will go above and beyond to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with our work. We begin by taking the time to understand your overall vision for the project, your style preferences, your lifestyle and your ideal spend.

We develop a customised Design Management plan, based on your unique project brief to outline important dates within the project timeline; for meetings, sign offs and opportunities for you to give your feedback on the design. From here we can scale up or down depending on your preferences and availability. Our well established design process and effective communication ensures you have transparency over your project at all times

We work with you to understand your budget, style preferences and timelines.

You will then receive a fully comprehensive package with furniture, art, rugs, soft accessories and decorative items. We can also source all the essentials for kitchen, bathroom and laundry.

Once you have signed off on this, milu designs can manage the full procurement process with quality checks, delivery and installation at site and interior styling services
